Café Escadrille invites you to spend an evening with our Wine Director Miguel Escobar for Wine Wednesday!
Join us every Wednesday from 4:30 pm to midnight to enjoy Miguel's Picks from our extensive, award-winning in-house wine collection. Mr. Escobar will be available to guests for a portion of each Wine Wednesday event.
For just $5, patrons can sample three different wines hand-picked by Mr. Escobar, an expert sommelier who once trained alongside culinary legends Jacques Pépin and Alain Sailhac. He also studied under Wine Masters Sandy Block and Bill Nesto.

2016 Duckhorn Merlot Napa Valley, California
This is perhaps Dan Duckhorn’s most iconic wine. Sourced from various estate-owned single vineyards with notes of plum, cherries, and spices, this is prime example of what new world Merlot can be. It is an iconic and classic Napa Merlot at its best.
2016 Flowers Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast, California
The 2016 Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast is pale ruby-purple colored with a pronounced red currant and cranberry-scented nose and hints of rose hips, raspberry leaves, and dried herbs throughout. Medium-bodied, delicately fruited with beautifully pure cranberry and earth-inspired layers, it has a firm frame of grainy tannins. It is an elegant Sonoma Coast classic.
2015 Honig Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley, California
The vineyard that makes this wine is family owned. The blueberry and dark-chocolate aromas are very attractive and follow through to a full body. It has round and juicy tannins and a hazelnut aftertaste. This is a fantastic Napa Valley Cabernet at a great value.
Included among Mr. Escobar's favorite wines are Rioja, Cabernet Franc, and Pinot Noir, but he's also a fan of lesser-known grapes from around the world. Mr. Escobar, who earned an Advanced Sommelier Certification from London’s Wine & Spirit Education Trust, holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management, a master’s degree in Communications, and a culinary degree from Boston University’s Elizabeth Bishop School.
