Miguel's Picks for Wednesday, August 21:

2014 Bouchard Pere _ Fils Pouilly-Fuisse.png

2014 Bouchard Pere & Fils Pouilly-Fuisse Maconnais

This is a classic example of an elegant Pouilly-Fuisse. There are notes of apple and pears on the nose with a slightly creamy mouthfeel, yet enough brightness to carry the wine. It is a great pairing with favorite seafood dishes and white meats.

2013 Jean-Paul _ Benoit Droin.png

2013 Jean Paul & Benoit Droin Chablis

This wine is packed with apple and crisp pear flavors. A generous texture brings out ripe fruits that are balanced by a more flinty, zesty backdrop with hints of lemon and citrus. This wine is full in the mouth with a beautiful, long finish.

2016 Domaine des Vercheres.png

2016 Domaine des Vercheres,
Macon Villages Santa Barbara, CA

This wine has a bright, green-gold hue. On the nose, the wine is very open and full of white flower scents. The structure on the palate is soft, supple, and fruity yet maintains the un-oaked profile characteristic of Macon.

Included among Mr. Escobar's favorite wines are Rioja, Cabernet Franc, and Pinot Noir, but he's also a fan of lesser-known grapes from around the world. Mr. Escobar, who earned an Advanced Sommelier Certification from London’s Wine & Spirit Education Trust, holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management, a master’s degree in Communications, and a culinary degree from Boston University’s Elizabeth Bishop School.

Mr. Escobar and the rest of our courteous, knowledgeable staff look forward to welcoming you, your friends, and your family each week for Wine Wednesday. Make a plan to join us for an unpretentious, fun-filled evening of sampling delicious wines and learning about a wide variety of vintages from around the world.
