RECIPIENT OF WINE SPECTATOR MAGAZINE 2019 BEST OF AWARD OF EXCELLENCE

Cafe Escadrille was recently named a recipient of Wine Spectator magazine's 2019 Best of Award of Excellence, which recognizes restaurants that embody "a passion for exploring and sharing the world of wine".

According to Wine Spectator, winners of the award represent "everything from neighborhood wine bars serving small plates to opulent palaces with star chefs and elaborate tasting menus." The awards are given across three categories: Award of Excellence, Best of Award of Excellence and the Grand Award.

The Best of Award of Excellence recognizes restaurants with a wine list that displays excellent breadth across multiple wine-growing regions and/or significant vertical depth of top producers, along with superior presentation. Typically offering 350 or more selections, these restaurants are destinations for serious wine lovers, showing a deep commitment to wine, both in the cellar and through their service team.

“We are proud to be among the select group of restaurants worldwide who are in the Best of Award of Excellence tier for a second consecutive year. Wine Spectator Magazine is the global benchmark for restaurant wine programs and their imprimatur on our program confirms what our loyal guests already know about our restaurant and wine list,” said Wine Director Miguel Escobar. “Our program spans the globe and offers the best wine selections for the best value in a demystified yet refined atmosphere."

"We're grateful and honored to be a wine destination for guests who travel from across New England and the country to experience our wine list," Miguel said. "We can’t wait to keep surprising them and making both loyal and new guests happy with our wine selections!"
